Seniors
Attention Seniors:
If you are planning on attending either the Cal State University (CSU) or the University of California (UC) schools remember that the CSU has a deadline for applications from October 1 - November 30. The UC schools have a deadline of November 1 to November 30th. No exceptions. Please don't miss these deadlines. Also, remember that you have to had taken the SAT or ACT by the December test date to apply to these schools. Talk to your counselor if you have more questions.
Juniors
Please check with your counselor of the ACT and SAT dates if you plan on registering for these tests.

Remember, if you plan on attending a 4-year university after high school you must take this test. If you are planning on going to a community college, military, trade school, technical school etc., you do not need to take this test. See your counselor for more details.
Also, October 19th all juniors will be taking the ASVAB test so we can look at careers, scholarships, colleges, trade schools and any post-secondary plans.
Sophomores
Attention 10th graders:
Please look through our clubs, sports and activities on our campus. It is a great idea to get involved in the school. Additionally, don't forget to get started on your community service hours. Keep checking with your counselor to make sure you are not only on track to graduate but also your plans after high school. Those students who may want to go straight to a 4 year university may want to take the PSAT this year. Check out the www.collegeboard.com website for more details.
Freshmen
Attention 9th graders:
Welcome to TVHS. I hope all of you get a chance to check out our clubs, sports and activities on the TVHS website. It is a great idea to get involved in the school. Please check in with your counselor and let them know what your plans are after high school. You counselor is a great resource to help you pick appropriate courses that pertain to your career as well as help with any personal counseling that you may need.
